This temporary exhibition commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Waco tornado that tore a path of destruction through downtown in 1953. The exhibition features black and white photos of the destruction and oral histories from residents documenting the storm's fury.

Goosebumps: The Science of Fear

Why do our hearts race, our knees shake, and our bodies sweat when we are scared? This exhibit explores this universal emotion that can save our lives. Through fun, interactive challenges, guest can experience fear in a safe environment and discover the science behind their physical and emotional responses. Exhibit up May 25 through September 2. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children.

Waco ISD Student Art Exhibition

There will be an opening reception the evening of May 25 at the Art Forum of Waco for the first ever Waco ISD Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition will showcase student artwork created by high school and junior high students during the current school y. The exhibit runs through June 14. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Murder Mystery Dinner

The first Murder Mystery Dinner reservations filled up fast, but Olive Branch scheduled another show! For $50, guests will enjoy a four-course meal featuring beef tenderloin or seafood stuffed salmon, then enjoy the Brazos Theater Group's production of "Murder: Stage Right." Brazos Nights Concert Series: Texas Music Showcase

The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department brings good times and great music to downtown Waco! Concerts are held the first Friday, April through June, and July 4. Concerts are free to the public and feature a great line-up of music, children's area and concessions.

Zany Zoology Camp

Campers will learn about characteristics that make each of these groups of animals unique with first-hand experience! The camp is $150/week for members, $180/week for non-members and children are grouped based on age.

Explore the Zoo and learn about these different places that animals call home. Campers will have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and talk with keepers about how they maintain these habitats. Camps cost $150/week for members, $180/week for non-members and children are divided by age.

After the Tornado: Disaster Relief

Milly Walker, historian at the First Presbyterian Church of Waco, will lead us through some of the massive relocation efforts that took place at the church in the aftermath of the tornado.
